OUR HISTORY
At St. Roch Shih Tzu, LLC, I have taken something which started as a family love for Shih Tzus and paired it with breeding or sharing the love.
I selected the name St. Roch as he is the Catholic patron saint of dogs and dog lovers.
I hold a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with a minor in Child and Family Research and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Arizona State University.
In 2012 I resigned from the professional world and became a stay-at-home wife, and mom. We have eight (8) children, dogs, fish and cats. My husband and I have been married for 16 years and each day we are thankful for our blessings.
Our personal Shih Tzus are in training to become service dogs for our special needs children. Seeing the intelligence, and abilities our dogs have to support our children is immeasurable. If you are considering a service dog for you or a loved one, we can work in tandem with our trainer to coordinate you with a dog who may be best suited for this role and your needs.
Knowing how brain development is influenced in children drives my commitment to exposing our pups to Early Scent Introduction, Early Neurological Stimulation, continuous neurological development, noise desensitization activities to develop their abilities and confidence, along with training from Neurodog, LLC before they come home with you.
We look forward helping you grow your family with one of our Shih Tzus.
With joy,
Melissa
